 History

 

Oasis House opened its doors in 2006. We are a member of the Pennsylvania Clubhouse Coalition. Oasis House received certification by the International Center for Clubhouse Development in 2008.

 

Clubhouse Community

 

We have two units at Oasis House, the Kitchen unit and the Business unit. Our kitchen unit consists of a commercial kitchen licensed by the city of York. We serve lunch daily and operate a snack bar. The kitchen unit is also responsible for outdoor and maintenance work throughout the clubhouse. The business unit consists of clerical, employment and education services and the thrift shop.

Members in the clerical area manage charts; help with intake, orientation and mentoring of new members. Employment and education services vary depending on individual need but range from help onsite at school or work to resume writing and filing financial aid forms from the clubhouse. Working side by side as colleagues, members can find and provide help on many levels.

 

Directions 

From I-83 take exit 16A (Queen Street) north toward York City. About 3 miles look for Jackson Street. Make a right onto Jackson. The clubhouse will be on your left and our parking lot will be on your right. Park anywhere in the lot.
